Carpet care & maintenance
Carpet can be a fairly low-maintenance flooring choice, but you will need to establish a care routine to keep it looking pristine for many years. Follow our care and maintenance guide below.
Routine carpet care
Establish a routine to vacuum your carpet regularly. How often you vacuum each week will depend on how much traffic your carpet gets. Also, it's a good idea to place mats at entrances to help reduce the amount of dirt tracked onto your carpet. It is ideal to invest in a professional cleaning once a year.
Carpet spills
It is important with carpet to address spills as soon as they occur. Simply vacuum up solids. For liquids, use a clean cloth to soak them up. Do not rub the spill. Then use a manufacturer-approved cleaner to remove any lingering stains.
